BLACK COHOSH - The scientific name of black cohosh is Cimicfuga racemosa, part of the Ranunculaceae family. Other common names include black snakeroot, bugbane, bugwort, richweed, squawroot and rattle root. It contains calcium, chromium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, zinc,and vitamins B1, B2. B3 and C. It is has been known to help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Reduces mucus production. Good for Arthritis. Helps cardiovascular and circulatory disorders. Relieves menopausal symptoms such as menstrual cramps with back pain and nausea. It has also been helpful for poisonous snake bites.
